Come Visit And Experience A Past Found Nowhere Else
The only bad thing I can say is that our time there was too short! I say this to one and all, if you want to meet a great bunch of people that will give you a time to remember then by all means go visit the Buford Pusser Museum. We both thank you all and look forward to returning for another visit!
I would like to thank the staff for a wonderful experience with our trip to the Sheriff Buford Pusser Museum. My wife and I were quite impressed with the amount of exhibits displayed about Buford Pusser.
I recently paid a visit to the home and museum. I had a wonderful time and the staff was great! I received information that I really enjoyed. I have always enjoyed the story of Buford Pusser. My father is a Sheriff and this has always been an interesting topic to me. I look forward to returning to the museum.
Thank you to the staff for showing us a wonderful time. My husband, Steven, and I thoroughly enjoy learning about people and history. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt like I was “coming home.” I know that sounds weird but I felt like I had been away for a long time and was just returning. The folks there just felt like family. It was an awesome experience. The storytelling was great. Listening to stories about Buford gives me a better understanding of who he was. It is so great that his story and life are there for the public to enjoy. Yet it does not feel like a “museum” where people just work there. Thank you to all for caring and giving.
Our vacation to McNairy County, Tennessee was an important vacation that proved itself. We enjoyed our time and are honored to meet people who felt we were important enough to take the time they did to spend with us. We thank everyone at the museum with special thanks to Jack Coffman, Steve Sweat, and Rudy Moore.
In Regards to the Buford Pusser Festival Bus Tour, my husband and I came to Adamsville to go on the Buford Pusser Bus Tour. We want to thank everyone involved for making our trip worthwhile. Dwana Pusser narrated the bus tour and was very personable to all of us. Having her present made this tour even more real and was a real tribute to her parents. We enjoyed the tour of the McNairy County Courthouse and appreciated seeing everything “as it was back then.” We all enjoyed lunch at the courthouse and visiting with Sheriff Pusser’s friends. Our trip from Laurel, Mississippi was not nearly as far as the young man who drove 700 miles or the young lady visiting from Australia! Most of the participants were from out of town. I encourage your local citizens to sign up for the Bus Tour and support the legacy of a very unusual Sheriff. We thank those of you who showed us real southern hospitality including Ms. Richardson at the Old Home Motel, Steve Sweat, Mama Shirley, Jack, Atoyia, and family. We wish much success to your town because Sheriff Pusser really did put Adamsville, Tennessee on the map!
